TICKS
There are several species of ticks. However, the most common are the Deer ticks & American Dog ticks. The tick that pose the most risk to humans is the Deer Tick which is also known as a black legged tick.
These ticks carry bacteria Borrelia that transmits Lyme Disease. Not all Deer ticks carry the disease, they must be infected with bacteria in order to transmit it to you.
American dog tick also known as the wood tick and can transmit Tularemia and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.
