Spiders may be feared by many as they creep around your home and hide in the damp and dark areas. Generally spiders are not dangerous, however there are a  few species that are; Black Widow and Brown Recluse spider as they inject a toxic venom when they bite.

Spiders do not typically bite humans and they are often a shy species. In Ontario the shy black widow spider is the most dangerous, however if unprovoked this species of spider will shy away and not bite. 

With today’s technology even a bite from a Black Widow spider is unlikely to be fatal. Spiders typically feast on other insects that get caught in their webs.
